The Software Engineer handles tasking from a variety of sources, researches best solutions, utilizes open source software tools and vendor APIs. Creates supporting documentation including, but not limited to, requirements, architecture, user guides, and install guides. Works directly with customer management in applying advanced principles, theories and concepts to a wide range of work in the areas of planning, deployment, operation and/or enhancement of advanced telecommunications and information technology systems networks. Defines network architecture alternative for interfacing transmission, switching, bandwidth management and network operations equipment and functions. Provides practical guidance on deployment planning for new network/service rollouts and for transition from existing networks. This is an opportunity to work with cutting edge Service Oriented Architecture and contribute to an operational environment, as well as work in a collegiate atmosphere with other developers.
